Strategic Finance Connect
A QuickBooks Online connection Strategic Finance LLC uses to deliver reporting, cash forecasting, and bookkeeping cleanup for its clients.
What it is
A connection for our clients and the businesses we work with.
Strategic Finance Connect links a client's QuickBooks Online company to Strategic Finance LLC's fractional CFO and accounting practice, so we can deliver the reporting, forecasting, and bookkeeping services covered by that client's engagement. Businesses considering working with us can also connect it so we can review their books before an engagement starts.
What it accesses
Accounting data, nothing more.
-
Company and chart of accounts.
Basic company information and the chart of accounts.
-
Financial reports.
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and AR/AP aging.
-
Transactions.
Invoices, bills, payments, deposits, expenses, and journal entries.
-
Lists.
Customers, vendors, items, classes, and locations.
We do not request Intuit's payments scope, and we do not access bank login credentials or card numbers.
How changes are made
Staged, reviewed, and logged.
Strategic Finance Connect can also create and update accounting records, as part of the services a client has engaged us to perform. Every change goes through the same safeguards: it is prepared and reviewed before it is sent to QuickBooks, a record of the affected data is captured first so it can be reversed if needed, the result is read back to confirm it matches, and every change is recorded in an audit log. A client may ask at any time to limit the connection to read-only use. This is modern automation, reviewed by a CFO before anything reaches your books.
